2. What Is a Wad and How Does It Works
Wads are a part of a shotgun shell that is used to keep the shot and the powder separated. They are cup-shaped, plastic containers that are semi-flexible and are designed to hold your shot.
A shotgun case is made of plastic and it contains both the wad and the shot. When you fire your shotgun, the case remains inside your gun. The wad and the shot, however, leave the gun when it is fired.
After it is fired, the wad starts to loosen and open up as it is flying through the air which gives denser and more consistent shots and reduces chaotic collisions.
